The park remained in soft opening mode until 26 October 2010.
The park held its official grand opening on 28 May 2011, with a "grand opening gala" being held the evening before on 27 May 2011. Asian personalities Jet Li, Maggie Cheung, Zhao Wei, and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul made appearances at the gala event, along with some 1,600 guests.
On 21 October 2011, Universal Studios Singapore began its Halloween Horror Nights events.
On 3 April 2019, Genting Group announced the expansion of Universal Studios Singapore with two new themed areas, Minion Land and Super Nintendo World.

A fun water attraction that transports you deep into the heart of dinosaur land is called Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. But be forewarned—you will undoubtedly get wet.
Ponchos are available for purchase at shops located throughout the park or at a vending machine along the line. You could also bring your own ponchos to use while riding.
You can choose to get rid of the ponchos after the ride. However, if it's rainy season, we advise keeping the ponchos close at hand in case the weather worsens.
If you didn't bring a poncho and got wet, there are also drying stations outside the rides. The drying pods can be used for a fee.
Battlestar Galactica and Revenge of the Mummy Lockers
The Battlestar Galactica roller coaster and Revenge of the Mummy do not permit loose goods. Before boarding the rides, you can store your bags and other loose items in the lockers that are accessible adjacent to them. For a brief period of time, these lockers are free to use.
Enhance the TRANSFORMERS Ride
